So, in the middletowards the end of my recent 26-hour period of wakefulness, I had a revelation.  Jolyne's belt buckle on the cover of SO17, Jo²80 (which I pay particular attention to as the sole source image of the specific outfit I want to cosplay), is not a stylized snail, as (I) previously assumed.  Rather, it is a 6 on its side.

Sometimes Jo² makes me feel incredibly stupid.  I ameliorate the blows to my ego by telling myself that IT IS JOJO THAT'S STUPID, DAMN IT.

Also, I finally know what Jump Remix is, since I saw what looked to be the last Jump Remix for part 5 (probably for Jo² overall, considering the regard SO gets) in a conbini.  My RA was like "oh, Jo² is a legendary series, did you know?"  I was like "AHA.  THIS IS A THING I AM KNOWING.知っている! ^___________________^"

ok, actually now that I'm more lucid I have my doubts about the 6 again, BUT ONE MUST TAKE A STAND SOMEWHERE.

Tried the media center's scanner today; huge bed, quite easy to use.  I didn't want to spend much time messing with contrast and stuff, so I just upped the brightness by 10 for everything I scanned today.  I might go back and try again later, but I have lots of things I need to do today, and I already wasted enough time (and money) on the goddamn bank earlier, so this is just for fun and because I haven't posted for a while, yet again.  Oh hey, first post of the year.  Took me long enough. orz

Some of these became joekakis, since ka wanted me toI wanted to try it out, but wasn't brave enough to go in blind.  Comparisons are kind of odd.

This is the first time I've seen the update page in a while.  Nothing too scarring has happened to it, by my standards, I guess.

Anyway, richestgrave has just been winning all over the place.  Delicious shinsena, mysteriously scarce in efandom, and then koutarouakaba in the good way—I know their canon, I think it's great, but it almost makes it too easy, which leads to kind of boring fanproduct.  Not like this, in any case.  This I like, obviously.

So y'all should be reading es21 ka.  And of course you all should be reading jojo.  Incidently, finally managed to complete an item of fanwork for that, huzzah.

Today I had dinner with a couple of friends at this TexMex place and had to restrain my reaction when I saw a girl wearing an Emporio ArninoArmani shirt.  Life is more amusing through jojo-colored glasses.

(I also marveled at a display of Guess? shoes at Macy's.  But no way I'm buying a pair of shoes as expensive as the ones I wore for prom anytime soon, even if I did just pick up my first paycheck last week.)

I drew a picture of Jolyne yesterday; it took me around two hours, because I kind of suck.  Anyone know where I could post it for the maximum benefit of jojo fandom?  I'm assuming the Joekaki is, well, just for oekaki.  I don't know how oekaki things work; maybe I should try it out sometime, though it will probably be embarrassing. ~.~

I'm caught up (I think) on nana; I read up to chapter 59 yesterday (love for sesame_seed! ♥) and waaaaaaaaaaah well at least the melancholy narration's not because one of them is dead (well of course, since they both narrate (though they could be speaking from the beyond I guess (but that would be kind of dumb))).

But you know, I think Jotaro's interest in ocean science isn't so much as inexplicable as it is, well, the equivalent of Joseph becoming a real estate magnate.  Apparently marine biology is very respected among the sciences in Japan?  According to the visiting professor in my lab, both the current emperor and the previous earned degrees in marine biology.  I suppose it's because the Japanese like seafood so much.  (...)  And live on an island.  (...........)

Ironically, in the art for part 1 and 2 characters Araki's done in his new style, the man-train looks more covered up (granted, we've only got upper body shots to go by) whereas Jonathan and Joseph look like sluts to the n^th degree.  I've been rereading part 2, however, and Joseph's outfit really does look like that—I mean, crop top and everything.  In comparison, Jotaro and Josuke come off as modest Japanese school-boys. with bling.  Then Giogio.... orz

Jolyne is full of win and love.  I mean, the brick pattern with the shingles (what are they supposed to be, really?) are kind of weird, but I buy her outfit.  It works.  It pretty much serves the purpose of clothing, too!  Well, I like the pants and the long skirt better than the mini anyway.  Though the pattern often makes me think spiderman, and butterflies caught in webs—not necessarily bad.  Top doesn't always make much sense.

Today = Not a Good Day.  Totally turned on red when I wasn't supposed to with a cop car right behind me.  The problem was it was at a corner where usually I'm able to turn on red (because I usually drive that way on Saturdays) and I couldn't recall the hours during the week when I couldn't (and was unclear as to when rush hours were—not that I connected it in my head to when one isn't allowed to turn on red till later).  Have been issued a court summon; shall be calling prosecutor or whatever and sincerely hope that I won't get points on my driving record (not getting a fine would be good, too). orz

So basically I like Joseph, Jotaro, and Jolyne. ♥  Welp, how fortunate that everyone liked part 3 so much Araki-sensei takes the trouble to include him, if only in cameos, in the three subsequent arcs (when Jotaro barely makes his top ten list!)  Old!joseph really depresses me, tho. D:  (So much so I've been rereading part 2.... ♥)

The prison sequence in part 3 I will always hold close to my heart for a couple of reasons.  1) I think it's the only time we really see him without his hat.  2) The police inform us that his "friends at school call him jojo"—I have a feeling these friends are all of the female persuasion, and all the guys just follow suit?  No really, what is it with all these jojo's coming into their series essentially friendless and only gaining comaradie on the course of their adventures?  Isn't that kind of unusual?  They're all meant to be terribly charismatic, no?  Or maybe their Speshulness sets them apart.

Okay, I really only made this post because I wanted someone to tell me what they think of the hand doodad in the airplane. ^^;;;
